How can I take action against a Car Dealer that lied to me in SEVERAL areas to get me to buy car & I need help?Posted by admin on May 8th, 2010
I saved money for ten years to buy car of my dreams. I went into toyota dealership with my list of items I had to have and didnt need. They did not want to let me order car and said I had to buy from lot. They didnt have exactly what I wanted om lot and lied telling me the VSC safety feature is worthles son a Camry and every other dealer would say the same thing. They then told me I had to let them put in navigation system since they couldnt order it and (neglected to tell me it would void amny of my toyota electrical warranties…I later tfound this out) Being unhappy and wanting to change the car, I realized they would not work with me, and when I brought it in to install navigation, the service tech asked me which one I wanted (the sales assoc AND manager told me I only had 1 choice, of course the most expensive) I wa supset but then to find out they told me by bluetooth features would no longer work in my car with the new navaigation. I was furious. I wanted buttons on my steering wheel for safety and convenience and paid an extra 0 for this option on my car and now they are telling me not only will it not work, that I will have a wheel with useless buttons. I try talking to manager, owner everyone and they would not help me out. All they would offer is to refund my navigation but I obviously paid 00 for it so the car would look nice. I was not agreeable……finally when I realized they would not work with me, I told them to install the navigation and to make sure the bouetooth worked. They then told me I would have to pay another 0 for this feature. I was irate, I had already paid for it, and will now have uselss buttons, the new button in a further location and now have to pay more money!!! I was irate talking to manager on phone and told him I was on my way with father to pick up car. When I arrived there were several cops there and they told me I was no longer allowed on property. The manager told my father that they would no longer work with me, and would send me check for half of what I paid for the navigation system. I have called toyota etc and they cant do anything. Its been over a month, I still havent gotten a check. They dont return my calls/faxes/emails etc…..and I am at a loss……..I cant afford an attorney and literally hate my car because I was lied to and they didnt disclose all ifno to me and now Im stuck with it and cant do anything about it.
PLEASE I AM BEGGING, if anyone has any information or help, I would so incredibly greatful and you have no idea how many wasted hours I have spent researching this. Please and God Bless!!!!
